Repair and Restoration
Yes, fine crystal can be repaired, restored, or reworked--including figurines, vases, bowls, chandeliers, and more.
Damage often occurs to fine crystal and glass from use or even while in storage. Stemware with broken stems or chipped rims, sculptures with missing pieces, even bowls and vases that have been cracked in half can be fused together, and the repairs are most often undetectable to the naked eye.
This is an example of a Waterford Crystal Champagne Flute with a chipped edge. Billy is getting ready to work on the flat mill (background) to professionally remake the glass edge. If not done correctly, the glass can break, become too sharp, or look uneven.
